Google Fridge - 1,000,000 Adwords leads paid for

There was a knock at the office door today which is pretty unusual.  You see, I don’t get walk in traffic since my office is in a converted apartment attached to my house so someone was lost or…nope, it’s a package!  I didn’t remember ordering anything recently so I couldn’t imagine what was inside until I saw the bright Google letters on the side of the fridge box as I pulled it out of the packing box it had come in.  Woo Hoo - I’ve been waiting for this!

Many people have covered the arrival of their Google Mini Fridge but I can’t help but post a couple pictures and mention a point or two that surprised me.  The first thing I noticed is that it is lighter than I imagined it would be, I was really surprised that it didn’t weigh more.  That’s a good thing as I soon realized that this fridge  was intended to be mobile as it has a handy handle on the top to make it easier to take it with you in the car.  That’s right - a car adapter cord is included so you can keep your (non-alcoholic) drinks cold while you are cruising down the highway.  Road trip anyone?  But wait theres more - this baby isn’t just a cooler - it’s also a warmer!  Flick a switch on the back and go from cooling your favorite beverage to keeping your leftovers warm.   

I certainly remember reading about the Google Mini Fridge but I didn’t remember anything about them keeping things warm or about being able to use it in the car.  At first I wondered if this was a new version they have started shipping but I found this page over at Search Engine Roundtable which shows a picture of the identical fridge from over a year ago so it must not be.
